The seminar from Socola, later named „Veniamin Costachi”, after the name of the Metropolitan of Moldavia, is one of the oldest schools both in Moldavia and in Romania, being the first seminar in the country. Its activity has unfolded - and is still ongoing - for more than two centuries. Even though the institution itself was functioning in more than one real estate and had some periods of disruption due to the various shortcomings or to the political situation, the seminar continued to remain in the living memory of history as one of Iaşi and later Romania's elite schools. Although the emergence of this school is relatively close to contemporaneity, historiography feels the need for some clarification on the date of foundation and on those who have contributed to the emergence and development of this school.

Hybrid war is a reality; war does not depend only on conventional means, but includes communication and propaganda strategies whose role is increasingly important. In the last few years, terrorist cells have spent and keep spending many energies in a global propaganda business. This activity is a fundamental aspect of the conflict. This promotion campaign serves several purposes: legitimating its authority, recruiting militants and motivating sympathizers, and intimidating and conditioning those whose cells they consider enemies. What draws our attention is the sophisticated level of professionalism they demonstrate in managing propaganda and terror. This paper seeks to provide a broader view of the European Foreign Fighters (FF) phenomenon by analyzing this target group from a marketing point of view in order to lay the foundations for a strategy to counteract them.

Foreign fighters (FF), that is, all those people who leave their countries of origin or residence to participate in a foreign armed conflict are strongly attracted by the terrorist groups, which by their symbols and propaganda can be considered as genuine brands; their mission is to restore archaic Islam as the only possible choice and the only alternative to preserving Western values. To achieve this, it was necessary to build a strong brand to represent the founding and fundamental values of Islam, a brand that could influence the common feelings of the resurrection of Islam. In this article, we intend to explore new strategic approaches to digital marketing and tactical applications to develop a brand and new product, alternately to the more developed and more desirable terrorist group format.

The trial of „Teodorescu Alexandru and others” batch, so tragic in its consequences, keeps alive only two of 16 people: Rădulescu Nicolae and Mihăilescu Emanoil, true disciples of Father Daniil Sandu Tudor, who have reverently preserved in their hearts the shape of the Burning Altar’s flames. The present study is an updated biography of George Văsîi from those times’ reality from the confessors Nicolae Rădulescu and Emanoil Mihăilescu’s perspective. The analogy between the two recall points of view, conveyed by the former students who belonged to „The Burning Altar” group, represents, in our opinion, an effective technique of the historical truth reconstruction. The same reasons, of objective restitution and investigation of George Văsâi, the Faculty of Architecture student within „The Burning Altar” batch, led to the consultation of the Archives of the National Council for the Study of Security Archives (ACNSAS), from where we selected a series of documents concerning directly Văsîi George.

Using an empirical approach, research seeks to discover how newborn companies attract and retain human capital. The study describes and outlines employees' motivations and the way they help companies record upward trends, making them more profitable by increasing performance and productivity. The article will validate through a quantitative analysis the hypotheses described by Safal Batra in 2017 on a survey of a newborn online business investigating the factors that attract and retain employees. The hypotheses take into account the following factors that motivate employees in newly created firms: introducing employees as partners in the company, creating informal learning opportunities, providing a flexible working environment, and creating opportunities for employee engagements or helping with vital decisions within the company. We will later use these factors to create a motivational portrait of the employees of a newborn company and outline their importance for human capital. The results will conclude by validating hypotheses and outlining different factors involved in personnel retention.

At the beginning of a new technological era - The fourth industrial revolution – we find ourselves in a society strongly shaped by technologically driven speed and an increasingly complex and uncertain environment which affects all areas of human life. In this context, businesses have to find new management approaches for overcoming technological anxiety and for harnessing the potential derived from ubiquitous computing. In order to find possible management strategies for coping with the current challenges, we analyse the following: first, the economic effects of technological change on organizations and employment; second, we identify some of the main features that a strategic approach should consider for sustaining competitiveness in such volatile times. We conclude that vigilance to the new, continuous investing in R&D (research and development) and in new technologies, as well as encouraging employees’ skill improvement by training programs and learning environments are among the bedrocks for surviving and striving in the new economy.
